We inspire sustainable, contemporary brick architecture and building design in all areas of the built environment: commercial, residential and landscape. We undertake research into the safe, sustainable production of clay bricks and pavers. We prepare and distribute property owner guides and builders’ technical manuals to educate South Africans on best practice in masonry construction.

Liaison with Government
The CBA maintains regular contact with the offices of national administrations such as the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy, and the Department of Housing, to ensure government regulations are adhered to.
Special Projects & Initiatives
ClayBrick.org supports various initiatives pertaining to the reduction of energy usage in buildings, including the development of national standards for walling, as set out by the SABS
